A lighting energy audit shows how much the existing system consumes and what an upgrade can realistically deliver. Decisions should not be based on lamp wattage alone.
What does an audit measure?
Luminaire quantity and power, annual operating hours, actual lux levels, tariffs, failures and maintenance costs are recorded. A new lighting calculation then compares energy scenarios at equivalent quality.
How is ROI calculated?
Annual energy and maintenance savings are compared with total project investment. Sensors and controls can add further savings. A sound audit also shows lifecycle cost, not only simple payback.
